Navigation Commands
You can navigate within the layer windows using the navigation commands found on the Home tab.
To navigate:
§ On the Home tab, in the Editing group, click the required command:

Select |
Changes the cursor to an arrow that is able to select; this is the default-setting for the mouse’s cursor. This command is used mainly to return to the default setting after zooming or panning. |
Zoom In/Out |
Zoom in enables you to ‘close-in’ on the layers displayed in the working and reference windows. As you zoom in you see a smaller area in an increasingly better resolution. Zoom out enables you to ‘back away’ from the layers displayed in the working and reference windows. As you zoom out you see a larger section of the displayed area in a decreasing level of resolution. Note: You can also zoom in and out by scrolling with the mouse wheel, by sliding the Zoom Bar up and down, or by using the Resolution Level control. |
Pan |
The Pan command changes the cursor to a panning cursor When the cursor is in panning mode you can click and drag the display until you reach the required location. Note: You can also pan in selection mode by clicking and dragging. |
